The Buttermarket is a social enterprise food hall, brought to life by Redruth Revival CIC.

Set in a beautifully restored historic building, we give both new and established independent kitchens space to grow, try new ideas and work with other local businesses. We run the bar, events and front of house, with all our profits going back into keeping the Buttermarket buzzing and to wider town projects.

It’s all about great food, culture, and community, right in the heart of Redruth.

Pop-up Kitchens

Got something cooking? The Buttermarket gives independent food businesses the space, audience and support to test ideas, build a following and grow.

We have two ever-changing pop-up kitchens, with flexible three-month opportunities for food entrepreneurs and emerging chefs. You bring the food and the ideas; we take care of much of the rest.

Your pop-up package includes a kitchen space, serving window and essential equipment, plus front-of-house and venue management, cleaning, tech, shared pot-wash and marketing support. You'll also be part of our year-round programme of events, music and markets.

Join the Team

Our front-of-house team keeps the whole place moving — from pouring drinks at Earles Bar and looking after the courtyard to supporting events and making sure everyone has a good time.

We recruit for Buttermarket and Earles Bar front-of-house roles, from part-time team members to more senior hospitality positions. We’re looking for friendly, reliable people who enjoy working with people and aren’t afraid to get stuck in.

All Buttermarket FOH roles are 18+.
