All Request Friday is your weekly excuse to kick off the weekend with a drink in hand and complete control of the soundtrack. Scan the QR code, request your favourite song and see what happens next.

Expect pints, cocktails, street food and a playlist that could go absolutely anywhere. Guilty pleasures encouraged. Questionable requests accepted. Friday nights are officially yours.

Friday Lates is our monthly excuse to clock off, grab a drink and get stuck in. Expect big tunes, DJs, cocktails, cold pints and plenty of reasons to stay for one more.

The courtyard becomes the place to be, with a different theme and soundtrack every month, plus all the street food you need to keep you going.

The courtyard is filling up with creativity once again…

Our Art & Makers Market is back, filling the Buttermarket courtyard with beautiful handmade work, live creativity and plenty of opportunities to have a go yourself.

 Browse a colourful mix of ceramics, prints, textiles, jewellery, illustrations and original artwork, then try your hand at pottery, tile decorating workshops, have a spin on the potter’s wheel, or dive into our free creative activities, including zine-making and a portrait station.

 Feast your way around our independent kitchens, grab a cocktail from Earles Bar, enjoy beats from our funk & soul DJ from 7pm and make a summer evening of it in the courtyard.

Young Makers Market

Meet the next wave of creatives at our Young Makers Market.

Showcasing talented under 25 year olds, the stalls will be packed with original art, handmade ceramics, prints and plenty of brilliant ideas brought to life.

Expect proper market stall energy, creative flair and a chance to support emerging makers!

International Pasty & Mining Festival

Pasties, pints, crimping and a whole lot of Cornish fun.

The Buttermarket is your street food hub for the Pasty & Mining Festival, serving up plenty of good food and drink alongside live music, kids’ crafts and two very serious (sort of) competitions.

Watch the experts battle it out in the Grand Pasty Crimping Competition, then put your taste buds to work in the Pasty Tasting Competition. Who makes the best pasty? Who has the finest crimp? There’s only one way to find out.

Come hungry, bring the family and settle in for a proper tasty day out.
