Good Luck Duck brings big Japanese flavours and proper comfort to the Buttermarket, with ramen built around rich, silky broths, koji-marinated chicken or crispy tofu, vibrant toppings and crunchy sides.

Expect thoughtful ingredients, plenty of umami and a menu that likes to have a little fun with tradition - from smoked duck to Thai prawn gyoza ramen and their famously inventive okonomiyaki specials.

Meet Matty

Matty is the chef behind Good Luck Duck, bringing a passion for Japanese flavours and a seriously good eye for a bowl of ramen. His cooking is all about depth, texture and big flavour, with plenty of room to experiment along the way.

Matty is one of the Buttermarket’s most-spotted chefs, having started out with Bango’s gang before popping up in JB Gone Cooking and Filthy Focaccia’s kitchens.
