Pommes anna, scorpions and Bob Marley: Get to know Little Ears Pasta

Little Ears are bringing local produce and buckets of fresh, homemade pasta to the Buttermarket.

They’re true masters of flavour, inspired by traditional Italian cuisine. Oh, and you might be wondering about the name… It’s a type of pasta! Orecchiette pasta is shaped like little ears!

1. What is the weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten?

A scorpion in Thailand… never again!

2. Where’s your favourite place in Cornwall?

Prussia Cove – so wild and beautiful, the best place for a sea swim!

3. If you were able to meet anyone in the world, past or present, who would it be?

Antonio Carluccio – absolute legend whose programmes inspired me to cook.

4. What’s your favourite ingredient to cook with?

Olive oil – it is the most delicious and healthy oil there is and can be used in a variety of cuisines.

5. Can you tell us one of the dishes on your Buttermarket menu?

Pici Cacio e pepe – Pici being the pasta shape and cacio e pepe means cheese and pepper! A stunningly delicious and simple dish from Rome in Italy.

6. If you had a pet seagull, what would you name them?

Noisy.

7. If you could only eat one cuisine for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Italian!

8. What’s your favourite song to play in the kitchen?

Get Up, Stand Up – Bob Marley.

9. Coffee or tea?

Black Coffee!

10. Which is the best form of potato?
