Vegan Feast with Cath’s Cornish Kitchen 

Plant-powered food lovers can gather for Cath’s Cornish Kitchen Vegan Feast on 26th February for an evening celebrating bold flavours and creative cooking. Buttermarket kitchen tenant Cath will be taking over the Buttermarket to host a communal, feast-style dinner full of delicious dishes.

Guests can enjoy an epic sharing platter with crispy flatbreads, dreamy dips, and marinated Mediterranean delights before diving into the star of the show—Cath’s award-winning vegan pie, featuring layers of cinnamon-kissed beetroot, smoky sweet potatoes, and garlic-infused celeriac. 

To end on a sweet note, diners can choose between a zesty lemon tart with fresh raspberries or a rich chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream—a fitting finale to an incredible evening of plant-based indulgence!

Bango Silent Bistro 

Expert Cornish brewing company Sharp’s and the acclaimed food innovators at Bango Kitchen took over the Buttermarket for an unforgettable night of expertly paired food and drink. The event featured a Silent Bistro session, where guests enjoyed a four-course small plate menu inspired by Asian street food, perfectly matched with Sharp’s award-winning beers and ciders. 

Diners indulged in dishes like Mylor Scallipop with Thai kaffir lime fish ball, West Country Teriyaki Flat Iron Steak, Loch Duart Salmon Tartar, and 48-Hour Roast Chicken & Pork Tonkotsu Noodle Broth. The evening’s drinks menu featured highlights from classic Sharp’s beverages like Offshore Pilsner, Twin Coast Session Pale Ale, and a unique Doom Bar daiquiri hoptail! 

With DJ Atomic Dog spinning funk and soul beats, the event blended flavor, education, and entertainment in true Buttermarket style.

Día del Amor y la Amistad: A Mexican Celebration for Friends and Lovers 

On Wednesday, February 12th, new Buttermarket tenants Harry’s Mercado brought a fiery fiesta to town with a Mexican-inspired evening celebrating love and friendship. 

With three tacos (or a sensational fish or blackened chicken burger) included in the ticket, along with a Mexican-themed photo booth inside a stunning split-screen VW camper from Cool 4 Campers, the night was filled with laughter, flavor, and fun! 

For those with a sweet tooth, homemade churros with rich chocolate sauce were the perfect indulgence to round out the celebration. 

 With each event offering something unique, The Buttermarket continues to cement itself as the go-to destination for innovative food and drink experiences in Cornwall.
